HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?

If you are a Five College student, we need your help! We will soon be sending out application materials for Crisis Directors, Chairs, and staffers. Please feel free to reach out if you would like to work the conference. No prior experience is necessary and we can match you with a role that fits your skillset best.

HOW WILL DELEGATES BE JUDGED?

Delegates will be judged on a number of factors. For Crisis Delegates, 60% of points will be awarded based on the strength of backroom performance, and 40% on frontroom performance. Crisis Directors will primarily be looking for creative and well thought-out crisis arcs, as well as clarity in actions and purpose of crisis notes. In the front room, Chairs will primarily be looking for participation, respectfulness and inclusivity, and strength in public speaking. Secondarily, Chairs will also be considering authenticity to character, knowledge and adherence to parliamentary procedure, and diplomacy.

In GA, delegates will be primarily judged on participation, respectfulness and inclusivity, strength in public speaking, authenticity and knowledge of country position, and diplomacy. Secondarily, delegates will be judged on knowledge and adherence to parliamentary procedure and attitude within the room.

Ultimately, judging within this framework will be up to the Chair and Crisis Directors’ discretion. More information pertinent to your specific committee will be provided by your CD and/or Chair during or before the conference if applicable.
