In-Dorm Housing
We are excited to continue our tradition of all delegates staying in a Mount Holyoke college dorm, hosted by our FCMUN dorm liaisons in their rooms. Best of all, this housing comes at no additional cost to you.
Please note that this housing option will involve sleeping on floors or other surfaces within people's rooms and you will likely want to bring pillows or other sleeping items. Delegates will be hosted one to a room by 1-3 hosts. This is following in tradition with FCMUN housing. This aspect of the conference has always been a blast! Anticipate using communal bathrooms (and bring shower shoes!)
No Housing Fees
As an effort to allow as many participants to attend FCMUN as possible without extreme financial barriers, FCMUN is continuing our policy of no housing fees. Any costs for housing are rolled into your delegate fees. This however, does not include food costs, as is typical with MUN conferences.
Booking and Local Delegations
There is no additional booking process beyond registration. We will try our best to get delegations placed close to each other and to meet any accessibility needs we have been made aware of. If you are a local delegation and plan to commute to the conference daily, please let us know so we do not reserve housing for you and can open up those slots for others.
Food Costs
Food costs are not covered by your registration fee. However, campus dining halls, local restaurants in the South Hadley Village Commons, and other special dining options will all be available for you to use. Our dining hall (Blanch) has many vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as gluten free, nut free, halal, and kosher stations.
We take pride in our unique approach to hosting and our commitment to the success of our delegates. If you have any specific concerns or requirements, such as if a delegate has specific accessibility needs or needs special services both in housing or committee, please let us know as soon as possible so we can work that out in the planning stage instead of later.
